On the south of the island, not far from Punta dell’Asino, you will find another beach definitely suggestive. It is in fact the beach of Gelso, which takes its name from the homonymous village overlooking the southern coast. Characterized by a crystal-clear sea, it has volcanic sand and is another ideal place for those searching for silence and tranquillity. In addition, not to be missed is the nearby lighthouse Faro di Capo Gelso overlooking the surrounding area.
You can reach the beach and its lighthouse very easily along the road from the harbour of Levante, which leads to the south.
